We are currently on a private pontoon that our boom tent maker owns in Runaway Bay on the Gold Coast. The tent is nearly finished, just waiting for the shade skirts to be done.
We’ve been busy doing boat jobs like polishing the stainless steel, changing oil, fitting new gas bottles and installing a bbq.
We’ve caught up with friends, been to the pub for State of Origin, attended a Shaggers drinks night at the Southport Yacht Club and been shopping.
Unfortunately we haven’t had a chance to do much relaxing and touristy stuff. We should hopefully be out of here by mid week and start exploring the Broadwater, Stradbroke Islands and Moreton Bay before going into Manly to stay with my sister Karen.
Thankfully the weather is starting to warm up and we expect a few 25c+ days this week.
